Alphabet Art now offers the opportunity for you to paint your own painting following the design drawn onto a prepared canvas for you. This option is available in a variety of designs. The 200mm x 200mm canvases are prepared with your choice of base colour and a line drawing of your choice is drawn on the canvas for you or your child to fill in.

The paint and brushes are NOT included in your order, as this would be far too costly and it doesn’t make sense to me to offer this fun option but have the customer pay me up to $15 more for an incomplete work of art than they would for a professionally completed one. Instead, these paint your own paintings are half the price of a completed painting.

I suggest taking your child to select his or her acrylic paint colours from the crafts section of a large discount store but investing in some slightly higher quality brushes than you would find at that store, as bristles tend to come off easily on cheap brushes. Brushes can be purchased from many stationery shops for about NZ$5.

With your big tubes of paint you are ready to paint many paintings and use your imagination! Paint your own zoo, aquarium, garden, pirate map, a picture of your family or your house or even a scene from your favourite movie or book!
